I cut my teeth on Ubuntu, and quickly fell in love with Debian because of having more robustness and more options. I like how Debian changes slower and seems more well thought out than Ubuntu.

I still use Ubuntu, on my laptop for the quick turnaround and highly active community, but for my desktop, I choose Debian.
