The Backpack Programmer's LiveCD is focused on programmers with many programming utilites (all of the gcc tools, xxgdb, Gnome header files, and more) included. It also aims to be a fully-operational, good-looking linux environment -- seriously, what programmer isn't a power-user?

Here are some of the highlights of this live-cd:
- Dropline-Gnome 2.14.1
- Slackware 10.2 with the 2.6.16.16 Kernel
- Internationalization with many languages and locales to choose from
- Programming utilities include xxgdb, all of the GCC tools, Perl, Python, and Ruby
- Menu-driven lauch of Apache, and SSH servers [and firewall modifications for them]
- Games like SuperTux (http://supertux.berlios.de/), and Pingus (http://pingus.seul.org/) to take your mind off of programming for a while
- All the other standards you would expect with a live-cd: sound, networking, auto-mount support and more.
