KnoppMyth is the best distro to use to install MythTV to your hardware. While it is not a LiveCD like KNOPPIX, it uses KNOPPIX as its core and gives you a Debian-based Linux installation on your HDD. Caution: It will overwrite your hard drive if you proceed with installation, though it gives you several opportunities to abort installation. If you choose "Frontend" on the boot, the KnoppMyth CD will boot the computer as a MythTV frontend without the need for installation. More info about using the KnoppMyth CD as a LiveCD can be found here (http://mysettopbox.tv/doc.html#frontend). A MythTV backend is needed for this option.
